TenTen Studio is a creative centre under Yukari Hotta serving as a platform for projects, editions and multiples. Established In 2020.

Hotta’s work concentrates on creating objects from practical everyday items to sculptural works centred around ceramic and textiles celebrates the beauty of imperfection and the incomplete.  Hotta’s work leads to the approach of hand-craft and challenges the perception of beauty. She uses her hands throughout the crafting process to achieve a hand-finished appearance on the surface of her creations. She creates each piece with a slow-moving hand technique building.

Yukari Hotta born in Tokyo; Japan, started her journey in Denmark in 2003 to study design at the Royal Danish Academy, School of Design. After over ten years working as a designer, Hotta stumbled into ceramics by chance. Natural clays form the base of her practice, each presenting their own organic composition and colour within Hotta’s final forms.
